On occasion of Rosemary Mayer exhibition "You can't pin down a flower for very long" at ChertLüdde, ChertLüdde Books is pleased to present the special edition/postcard set containing photographs of Roses printed from a series of 35 mm slides taken by Rosemary Mayer in 1975.
Entitled "The Turn of Red on a Petal," the collection of photographs opens up on the use of this medium by the artist, pioneer of the feminist movement in 1970s New York, and on the meaning given to flowers, their intrinsic strength and perseverance.

The small publication is inspired and dedicated to Rosa Luxembourg and is based on the collection of postcards published by Karl Dietz Verlag Berlin, collecting the flowers in Rosa Luxembourg's herbarium.
