This collection of seven poems tells the story of Eve, who fed the world from her body with love and received nothing but hurt. She is brave, ambitious, hopeful, with lots of dreams. It’s a story of an oppressed femininity. It’s the paradox of hope & war. The paradox which refuses to settle in.

About the Author

A 20-year-old young woman from Gaza studying dentistry at Al-Azhar University, Gaza. She writes her stories and poems so they may outlive time on the pages of history. Her work has appeared in We Are Not Numbers and Impulse magazine and was translated into French in the book “غزة تروي إبادتها” , published by the Institute for Palestine Studies. She is an Illuminated Cities’ 2025 Poetry of the Camps–Gaza fellow, and a member of the literary team “Yarrat” at the Tamer Institute for Community Education.
