Times of isolation and reflection following the events of 2020, call for this poetic exploration of love and grief through the lens of black womanhood, Southern U.S.Americanness, and modernity.
Savanna Morgan is a storyteller through various mediums based in Berlin, Germany, and the U.S. Originally from Dallas, Texas, she writes plays, lms, shorts, and poems; she sings jazz, blues, folk, soul, r&b, and classical; she acts, creates, and devises film and theatre in collaboration with other artists.
Savanna's writer-actor training brought her to Europe (Master of Arts, arthaus.berlin), however, she’s Texas, through-and-through. Cut her open and she will probably start bleeding hot sauce. Savanna’s creative process is very much rooted in time, place, and memory of home in the North American South. Her work aims to foster conversations within the black diaspora centering on histories, triumphs, joy, and healing.
