Azioni/Actions 1964-1979 - Franco Mazzucchelli
From the mid-1960s, Franco Mazzucchelli created his famous Abandonments: large inflatable sculptures left in natural or urban public spaces at the mercy of passers-by, not only spectators, but also unconscious performers. Along with the actions, from 1964 to 1979, the artist conceived and produced a series of documentary works, bringing together the photographs of his public interventions with writings, graphic contributions and cuttings from the plastic material. Thus the trace of the performance piece becomes a work of art.
